Judy Cutler

Mebane Judy Laverne Gates Cutler of Mebane died on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Hospice Home. She was born in Alamance County to the late Willie and Gracie Wright Gates and was married to the late Richard "Dick" Cutler. She was retired from SRI and was formerly employed by Camera Corner and the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields. She attended Hope Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Modlin and wife, Nancy of Caswell County; Jimmy Cutler of Mebane; daughters, BJ Smith and husband, Randy of Burlington, Sherry Eller and husband Rick of Burlington; six grandchildren, Emma, Hart, and William Modlin, Amber Smith, Madison Cutler, and Lee Eller; 2 great grandchildren, Nathaniel and Nicholas; sisters, June Allison of Gibsonville, Sandra Brown of Elon, Dianne Mann of Burlington, and Sherry Troxler of Carolina Beach; brother, Danny Gates; special caregiver/friend, Nancy Adams; and her dog, Precious. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Fred Bunts with burial to follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7 Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance/Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215
