Judith Kay Pendley Jordan, 76, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2019, following a hard-fought battle with cancer. She was born in Greenville, Kentucky, on June 30, 1943 to the late Charles Edward Pendley and Sarah Helen Johnson Pendley and was the wife of 30 years to Ray Jordan who survives.
Judy grew up in Dayton, the oldest of four children. She graduated from Wilbur Wright High School and Wright State University. She worked in various offices at NCR, Ft. Clayton, Canal Zone, Dayton Public Library and with physicians in Kentucky. She was a quick study and an excellent writer.
Judy was adored by her family. She was an accomplished cook and an expert in gardening. She loved nursing struggling plants into blossoming wonders! An experienced traveler, Judy visited numerous countries and lived in five different states, as well as Panama City, Panama and Caracas, Venezuela.
Survivors other than her husband, Ray Jordan include her children, Brett Williford and Holly Upright; grandchildren, Ryan Williford, Mara Williford and Max Upright; sister, Shary Maskel and husband, Lary; brothers, Chuck Pendley and wife, Valerie and Jim Pendley and wife, Hellen. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Terry Williford and her parents.
The funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, November 23rd at the Tobias Funeral Home-Beavercreek Chapel and the burial was held in Byron Cemetery, Fairborn, OH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Dr. Rangel's lung cancer research at the Medical University of South Carolina. In the subject line of your check include: "In Memory of Judith Kay Jordan".
