Judith Hunt Tuck, 78, of Mebane, North Carolina went to be with her Lord on Saturday, July 18, 2020. She was born on September 6, 1941 in Alamance County to the late Thomas Edward Hunt and Elizabeth Albright Cook Hunt.
Judy was a dedicated Christian and church member. She attended First Baptist Church of Mebane for more than 30 years where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a deaconess, and sang in the choir.
She had a great love for children. She served as a foster mom for more than 30 years where she provided a loving and caring home for children in need. She was a former teacher in Pittsylvania County, Va. and Sutherlin Academy near Danville, Virginia. She also worked at the UNC Dental School Children’s Clinic.
She is survived by her sons, Dale Tuck and wife Jennifer, Michael Tuck and wife Lisa, and David Tuck and wife Jennifer; and 10 grandchildren, Matthew, John, Joseph, Elizabeth Ann, Joshua, Jackson, Rebecca, Rachel, Chance, and Leigha. She also leaves behind her brother Tommy Hunt and wife Peggy Hunt, nephew Jimmy and niece Carolyn. She had three close friends during her lifetime - Brenda, Gail and Lee.
The family would like to thank the family of Terry and Brenda Thomas (Brenna, Michelle, Markus, Omari and Taymar) for the special friendship and care they have given to our mother and grandmother.
The funeral service will be held at First Baptist Church of Mebane by Rev. Sammy Ballard on Thursday, July 23, at 2:00 with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Shriners Hospital or Karate USA-(A Karate program for foster kids), 163 Mayo Street, Hillsborough, NC.
