BURLINGTON- Mrs. Judith H. Fuqua, age 72, of 3168 Sundance Rd., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Minnie Herron and was the wife of the late John Clyde Fuqua. Judith was a member of Bethel Christian Church where she sang in the choir. She retired from Westpoint Stevens and was an avid UNC basketball fan. Judith enjoyed crocheting and gardening and was a caring and compassionate individual who dedicated her time to visiting the sick and helping those in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed. Survivors include her sons, Sidney T. Fuqua and wife, Carolyn, Douglas J. Fuqua and Jamie E. Fuqua, all of Burlington; daughters, Hilda G. Wright and husband, Roy C. of Snow Camp and Lori A. Fuqua of Burlington; grandchildren, Christie Fuqua, Michael R. Balderson, Adam Fuqua, John D. Fuqua and Jessica Fuqua; great grandchildren, Mikayla Manson and Matthew A. Fuqua and her aunt, Juanita Shue. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents; a grandson, Casey Fuqua; brothers, Kenneth Herron and Bobby Herron and a sister, Hilda Herron. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Bethel Christian Church by Rev. Barry Lane with the burial to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Christian Church, 595 Baynes Rd., Burlington, NC 27217.
