Judith Ammons Crabtree

Graham – Judith Ammons “Judy” Crabtree, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Guilford County on April 19, 1938 to the late Archie V. and Lillian Cox Ammons and was the wife of 27 years to the late Henry Ronald Crabtree.

 Judy retired from UNCG Alumni Administration where she faithfully served for over 30 years. She was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, camping, water skiing, traveling, and baking. She also enjoyed playing card games like bridge and solitaire and was a member of the Bridge Club. Most of all, Judy cherished time spent with her family. She was carefree, full of joy and had a great sense of humor.

 Judy is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Noah; son, Chuck May and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Erin Strickland and husband, Wes, Bryce Barnes, Michael May and wife, Michelle, Patrick May and Griffin May; great grandchildren, Ella May, Amelia May and Alli May and her beloved canine companion, “Sadie”. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Scott L. May, parents, two brothers and three sisters.

 A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Reid Dickens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 at the funeral home prior to processing to the cemetery.
