Juanita Saul Varnadore, 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Ballard Bruce and Lois Smithey Saul. She was the wife of 58 years to Robert “Bob” Varnadore who survives.
Juanita retired from Labcorp. She was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church and the Sunday School Teacher for the Senior Ladies Class and member of the choir. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob’ Walter Varnadore of the home, daughters, Marie (Daryl) Tickle, Sheila (Randy) Richardson and Nancy (Ronnie) Alvis; grandchildren, Kristin (Crystal) BelleAmie, Stephanie (Keith) O’Donnell, Ashley Kernodle, Amber (Brandon) Bohannon, Caleb (Christy) Foust, Megan (Chris) Lindgren, Robbie (Berkeley) Alvis and Allyson Alvis: step grandchildren, Amber (Matt) Dodson, Heather (Scott) Quakenbush and C.J. (Em) Tickle; 14 great grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bobby Saul and Baby Saul; great grandson, Mark Lindgren and Step great granddaughter, Scarlett Tickle and a sister-in-law, Lee Saul.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Altamahaw Baptist Church by Dr. Steve Tucker with interment to follow at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45pm prior to the service and other times at the home. Mrs. Varnadore will be available for public viewing from 1-5pm on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory.
