Joyce Pamela Silby White, age 87, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in London, England to the late John Charles and Nellie Rose Prior Silby. Joyce was a homemaker who enjoyed flower gardening and devoted herself to her family. During WWII she served in the British Land Army. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Rance and husband, Bill of London and Christine Wilson of Gibsonville; son, John White of London; grandchildren, Natalie Cooper, Gemma White, Anthony White, Jason Lisa Rance, Angela Paul Haughey, Melissa Jeffrey Blanchard, Annie Savage, Stephanie Chris Cositore, Hollie Savage and Libbie Savage; great grandchildren, Lewis, Kate, Daniel, Thomas of England and Aaron, Alexis, Christopher, and Savage of the USA; daughter-in-law, Debbie Savage of England; sisters, Doreen Ellis of England, Betty Gonzalves of England and Marie Taylor of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Thomas Frederick Savage; husband, Stanley Edward White; son, Gary Thomas Savage; parents; sister, Irene Hayward and brother Ronald Silby. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Joyce during her illness. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at 4:00 pm at Gibsonville City Cemetery by Rev. Reid Dickens. There will not be a public visitation but you may sign the registry at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alam
