Mebane-Joyce Tucker Dameron, 62 passed away on Friday, April 24, 2020 at her home. She was born in Guilford county to the late Robert J.C. Tucker and Joyce Isabelle Snider Tucker. She was the wife of 29 years to Randy Joe Dameron who survives.
Joy lived her life just like her name. She spread so much joy into the lives of everyone she met. She was such a happy and loving woman. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and the most amazing Gigi for her grandson. She was also a loving sister to her siblings and an aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She loved god, her family, and animals. Her animals were such a big part of her life. She always had the spirit of Christmas inside her. She would listen to Christmas music anytime of the year. Joy had a good ear and was always there to listen. She loved angels and believed they were always around us. She has always loved cardinals. She has always believed that whenever they are near, loved ones are near. Whenever she saw them, she would think of her parents. Joy was such a strong woman that will forever remain in all of our hearts.
“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
-Psalm 23
“For, dear brothers, you have been given freedom: not freedom to do wrong, but freedom to love and serve each other. For the whole Law can be summed up in this one command: “Love others as you love yourself.” -Galatians 5:13-14
