Joy Wood

Burlington Joy Chandler Wood, 54, passed away suddenly Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at Alamance Regional Medical. She was born is Alamance County to the late Howard Warren Chandler and late Estelle Fiedler Chandler and was married to Everett Paul "Jay" Wood, Jr. who survives. Survivors other than her husband of the home include, a daughter, Emery Anna Lai of Burlington; step daughters, Patricia Ann Wood of Burlington and Rebecca Marie Wood of the home; four step grandsons and a step granddaughter on the way; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria Dunphy, Carol and Rick Bennett all of Wilmington, Anne and Jim Young of Burnsville, NC, Martha and James Matanzo of Liberty and Joan Chandler of Burlington; father-in-law, Everett Paul "Cook" Wood, Sr. of Haw River. A memorial service will be held 11:00am Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel.
