Josie Swaim

Josie Marshall Swaim, 92, of Spence St. passed away Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Alamance Health Care. She was the wife of the late Jasper Causey Swaim who died in 2002. She was born June 5, 1915 in Carroll County, VA to the late Howard M. and Minnie Lawrence Marshall. Josie retired from Barbee Fabrics and was a member of Glencoe Baptist Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Lessie Marshall of Oxford, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, step sons; Roger Swaim, Jasper L. Swaim, sisters; Lucy Joyce, Juanita Dunn, brothers; Harry Marshall, Bobby Marshall, James Marshall Edward Marshall, Thomas Marshall and Albert Marshall. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.
