Josephine LeBrun Vieira Feyrer

Josephine LeBrun Vieira Feyrer, a remarkable matriarch of unwavering strength and indomitable spirit, departed from this world on January 14, 2025, at Alamance Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of her children. Born in Port of Prince, Haiti on July 30, 1929, she embraced life with a vivaciousness that left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A woman of extraordinary courage, Josephine pursued her dreams with fierce determination, exemplified by her establishment of JC Custom Sewing Company. Through her craftsmanship, she not only brought beauty into the lives of her clients but also created a legacy of artistry and hard work that will be remembered by many.

Josephine possessed a personality that radiated warmth, endlessly cherished by her family, who regarded her as the cream of the crop. Her infectious laughter and zest for life transcended generations, as she enjoyed entertaining loved ones, traveling extensively around the globe, and dancing with unrestrained joy. Shopping was her favorite pastime, a simple pleasure that brought her delight, allowing her to engage with life in a manner that was uniquely her own.

She leaves behind a loving family that includes her son Sucre Ramirez and his wife Gina, her daughter Dinorah Hauser, and her cherished grandchildren: Kyle Hauser, married to Jodi; Kirk Hauser; and Kimberly and Kevin Ramirez. These family members will surely carry forward her legacy of strength and love, nourished by the values she instilled.

Josephine is predeceased by her father Emmanuel LeBrun and her mother Estela Fernandez LeBrun, whose influence inspired her journey through life. Their stories and teachings will forever resonate within her family.

Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of love, laughter, and resilience, and her memory will forever be honored. The services commemorating her extraordinary life will take place on January 21, 2025, in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel beginning with a Mass at 10:00 AM, followed by a gathering at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory in Burlington, North Carolina.
