Jonathan Austin Wright,21, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was a native of Guilford County and the son of Gary Steven Wright and Elizabeth Acosta Ibon Wright both surviving.
Jonathan arrived four weeks earlier than expected, coming into this world on a cold September morning, bringing with him pure joy, love, and immense happiness to his amazed first-time parents. Jonathan was an extremely bright, sweet, and soft hearted child who was always eager to get into mischief with his younger brother, Joshua, who was born 2 years later. They became inseparable.
Jonathan was very shy and introverted, not making friends easily, but when he did, his friendship was forever, and he was intensely loyal to you. There was nothing you could ask of him that he wouldn't do. He loved his family here and abroad. Jonathan was affectionately called Johnny by his closest friends and classmates. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his dirt bike and four wheeler. After graduating from high school, he decided to work full time and did so with an impeccable work ethic, always working hard, and never being afraid to get his hands dirty. He had plans to become a certified mechanic, and thoroughly enjoyed working on anything that involved him using his hands. His ultimate dream was to have his own business and build a 4X4 truck that he could be proud of.
Jonathan is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Acosta Wright of the home and his father, Gary Steven Wright of Julian; brothers, Joshua Alan Wright and Steven Daniel Wright both of the home and numerous cousins and aunts and uncles.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at 2PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ray Backer. The family will receive friends from 3-5pm on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
