Jonathan Williamson

Jonathan Eric Williamson, 36, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  He was born in Danville, VA to Allen Williamson and Angy Williamson Turner, and was married to LaCosta Williamson who survives.

He graduated from Bartlett Yancey High School in 2004 and was currently employed by Hursey’s Bar-B-Q.  He loved all sports and was an avid Tarheel fan.  Jonathan was a simple man, who worked hard, valued his friends and loved his family.

He is survived by his wife, LaCosta; children, Kassius Harold-Dean Williamson, Kaleb Clay Dixon, Jason Scott Oliver II and Jayden Landis Oliver; sisters, Megan and Addison Turner; mother, Angy Turner, father, Allen “Chicken Man” Williamson and maternal grandmother, Faye McCain.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Dorothy Williamson and maternal grandfather, Harold Dean McCain.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Vernon Massengill. The family requests that everyone attending the service wear casual clothes and your favorite sports team attire.  The family will receive friends from 2:00–3:45 Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
