John Sutton

Burlington, NC John Junior Sutton, age 66 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 18, 2013. He was a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama and was the husband of 46 years to Lorraine L. Tarquini Sutton who survives. John retired from Raytheon and was a US Army veteran. He enjoyed spending time with his family and model railroading. John was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of the home; son, John Patrick Sutton and wife, Jennifer of McLeansville and grandsons, Isaac and Jonathan Sutton; sisters, Sarah Bernard Sutton of Macon, Georgia and Brenda Sutton Robertson of Jasper, Alabama; brother, Charles Noah Sutton and wife, Connie of Lonoke, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Lester Sutton and Hester Bell Brashier Sutton. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Gibsonville City Cemetery by Rev. David Cartner. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory prior to the graveside service and other times at the home. Military Honors will be provided at the graveside by the 82nd airborne division from Ft. Bragg. Memorials may be made to NC Kidney Foundation, 4819 Park Road, Charlotte, NC 28209.
