John Stuart

Burlington-John Charles Stuart, 88, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at the hospice home. He was a native of Chatham County and the son of the late John Roscoe Stuart and Rosa Ray Stuart.
John retired from Western Electric after 40 years of service and was a member of Andrews Memorial Baptist Church. He was Tar Heel Born, Tar Heel Bred and now he is Tar Heel Dead!
Survivors include his daughters, Vicki Stuart Byrd and husband, Ronnie of Burlington, Nicki Stuart Byrd and husband, Danny of Mebane and Micki Stuart Langley of Burlington; grandchildren, Nick Wilson, Daniel Byrd, Alex Langley, Zach Langley and Chase Langley; great grandchildren, Zak and Ace Byrd; brother, Donald "Don" Stuart and wife, Marie of N. Myrtle Beach, SC and sister-in-law, Bette Stuart of Hillsborough and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Sylvia Neal Stuart and brother, William "Bill" Stuart.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Ronnie Byrd. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Thursday at the funeral home and other times at the home.
