John Stallings, Jr.

John Carl "J.C." Stallings, Jr., 79, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Alamance County and was the son of the late John Carl Stallings, Sr. and Edna Vivian Jarrett Stallings. He was of the Baptist faith and he enjoyed classic cars, old western movies, gardening and wood working. He retired after 20 years of service with the U.S. Air Force serving during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son, John Scott Stallings; daughter, Donna Stallings Austin; grandchildren, Jenalee (David) Paschall, Ashley (Jack) Hickam, Alexandria Edwards; great grandchildren, Rylee Hickam, Ethan Hickam and a great grandson on the way, Jeremiah; sisters, Louise Gulley, Letha (Bill) Lee, sister-in-law, Betty Sue Stallings and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother, Kenneth Wayne Stallings and a brother, James "Buddy" Stallings.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2018 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Mason Fuller Smith with interment to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. Full Military Honors will be provided by the U.S. Air Force. The family will receive friends from 12:45 - 1:45 Friday afternoon prior to the service.
