John Snow, Sr.

Graham: John Henry Snow, Sr., 70, of 314 E. Hanover Rd. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 20, 2006 at the Hospice Home. He was born in Person County on November 30, 1935 to the late Jim Scott and Maggie Thackston Snow and was married to Lillian Elizabeth Howerton Snow. He was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Mitzi S. Covington and her husband Tim of Mebane, Cynthia S. Cindy Dix of Mebane; three sons, Larry Dean Snow and his wife Dee of Florida, Randy Dale Snow and his wife Sharmee of Mebane, and John Henry Snow, Jr. and his wife Lynn of Burlington; thirteen grandchildren; one great grandchild; two step-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Daniels of South Boston, VA; two brothers, Melvin Snow of Hickory, and Franklin Snow of South Boston, VA. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Arnold, James, Willie, and Sonny Snow; and three sisters, Lessie Snow, Betty Jones, and Beatrice Hamlett. The funeral will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 22, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Hobbs officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the home of the son, John Snow Jr. 2870 Bellemont Alamance Rd. Burlington.
