John Kenneth Pendergraph, 57, went home to meet his heavenly father on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on October 30, 1963 in Alamance County to the late Eldon Glenn Pendergraph and Bettie Crawley Pendergraph who survives.
John was a loyal and supportive husband, father, and friend. He was a parishioner of the First Baptist Church of Burlington. He worked in the construction industry for 30 years and served as the president of Central Builders. His passion was music and he often created mixtapes to share with his loved ones. He enjoyed visiting the waterfalls at the mountains as well as the beach. He liked playing basketball and golf, and his favorite team was the Washington Redskins. Above all else, he treasured his wife, children, and the life that they shared.
John is survived by his wife of the home, Deborah Pence Pendergraph; son, Caleb John Pendergraph and wife, Lauren; daughter, Abby Glenn Pendergraph; mother, Bettie Crawley Pendergraph; sister, Amie Pendergraph Perkins and husband, Gene; brother, Darrell Glenn Pendergraph; brother-in-law John Stephen Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Glenn Pendergraph; and sister, Marcia Pendergraph Thompson.
COVID guidelines will be followed. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Haw River United Methodist Church at 3:00 PM to honor his memory. The family will be present in the community room of the church from 2:00 till 3:00 PM if anyone would desire to greet them before the memorial service. The service will be livestreamed on Haw River United Methodist Church's Facebook page (https: www.facebook.com/HRiverUMC/)
