John Neibel II

John Robert Neibel II, of 2628 Cambridge Rd. passed away suddenly, Thursday, January 3, 2008. John was born in Kansas City, MO, on October 2, 1944 to John Robert Neibel, Sr. and Charlotte Bryson Neibel, both who are deceased. He grew up in Bellaire, TX, a suburb of Houston. After graduating from Bellaire High School, John served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era. He was a Sgt. E5 Paratrooper in the Airborne Division, when discharged. After service, he became a licensed pilot and graduated with honors in computer technology from ECPI. John was of the Baptist faith. At the time of his death, John had lived in Burlington for 20 years and was a long time auto technician with Brian Doby Shell Station. Survivors include his wife, Martha Mabe Neibel, of the home; daughter, Debbie Mann and her husband, Tom, of Elon and beloved granddaughter, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Jeff, of Elon; special friends and golf buddies. The funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Tommy Richardson and Rev. Chuck Perkins. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Sunday afternoon at the funeral home and other times at the home. You may sign the online register book at www.lowefuneralhome.com
