John Kerns

Elon,
John Mack Kerns, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late James Mack and Ava Moon Kerns and husband of Linda Barbour Kerns who survives.
Mack was the cold drink manager for the Burlington Coca Cola Bottling Co. and later sold cars for Dick Shirley Chevrolet and Burlington Lincoln Mercury.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Barbour Kerns of the home; sons, Tim Kerns and wife B.J. of Middleton, WI and Eric Kerns and wife Angie of Burlington, NC; grandchildren, Bethanie Kerns, Zachary Kerns and Joshua Kerns; step children, Travis Johnson and wife Paula of Elon, NC and Melinda Huff, of Burlington, NC; step grandchildren Brianna Jenkins, Sydnie Huff, Nicholas Huff and Madison Huff; brother, Charles "Wink" Kerns and wife,Sandra of Burlington; 3 nephews and 1 niece and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents ; daughters, Lori Ann Kerns and a bay girl Kerns.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Holly Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Eugene Hunsinger officiating. Interment will be held at a later date due to the weather. Mr. Kerns will remain at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory until being taken to the church for services. The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home from 5-7 pm Friday, September 14, 2018.
