Burlington, NC John Joseph Joe Harris, 78, of Greenwood Drive died on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of the late John Weaver and Addie Johnson Harris. Joe retired from Western-Southern Life Insurance Company in Burlington after 30 years as an agent. He was a veteran serving in the US Army at the end of WW II during the period of Allied occupation. Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa Lynn and Barry Gray of Burlington and Angela Jean and Dewayne Long of Haw River; sons and daughter-in-law, Joseph Michael Harris of Jacksonville, NC, Kenenth Wayne and Lucie Harris and John Eric Harris both of Burlington; grandchildren, Wendy Renee Saul, Alisha Dawn Williams, Ashley Michael Harris, Joey Lynn Cook, Melissa Lynn Cook, Tracy Renee Albright, Chuck Albright, Erica Ann Harris and Christian Brice Harris; step grandson, Chris Hinshaw of Burlington; seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Irene Perry, Lalon Love, Ola Mae Alford and Jewel Harris and brothers, Ben Harris, Wade and Fred Harris. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 4, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the family will greet friends immediately following the service and at other times at the home of the daughter, Teresa Gray, 131 Hillside Drive, Burlington, NC.
