John Hamlett

John Paul Hamlett, age 21, of 1298 Union Chapel Rd., died Friday, July 3, 2009 in Graham, NC after a sudden accident. Born in Durham County, NC, he was the son of James Donald Hamlett, Jr. and Lori Beth Ashworth Hamlett. He was employed with Buckner Steel and was of the Methodist faith. John is survived by his parents of Buffalo Junction, VA; a brother, Spencer Travis Hamlett of Buffalo Junction; his grandparents, James Hamlett, Sr. of Sunset Beach, NC, Charles W. Ashworth and Ruth P. Ashworth, both of Chapel Hill, NC.; two aunts, Pam Ferrell and husband, Dwayne, and their children, Brandy and Caleb Ferrell, and Karen Wearmouth and husband, William and their children, Katlyn, Rebecca and Noah Wearmouth, and his wife, Amanda, and child, Kali; and two uncles, Charles Ashworth and wife, Laurieann, and their children, Tylor, Alan, Will, and Haley Ashworth, and Robert Ashworth and wife, Sherrie, and their children, Kelly and Sara Ashworth. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday, July 6, 2009 at Jamieson Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Walt Westbrook. The family will receive friends following the service.
