John Dawson

Mr. John Wesley Dawson, age 77, of Greensboro, passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at his residence after several months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County he was the son of the late James and Mozelle Thomas Dawson and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. John retired from DeSoto/Sherwin Williams Paints after 33 years of service and attended Bethel Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Dawson is survived by his three sons, Andrew Dawson, Nathan Dawson and his wife, Tasha, and Louis Dawson and his wife, Jessica; four grandchildren, Kaden, Jase, Logan and Connor Dawson; three sisters, Fannie (Jimmy) Clark, Bertha (Luther) Brame and Louise Newell; and five brothers, Herman (Norma) Dawson, Roy (Helen) Dawson, Staley Dawson, Howard (Peggy) Dawson and Raymond Dawson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mary Stokes and Frances Batten.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by Rev. Larry Andrews. The family will receive friends from 1:30 - 2:30 PM Sunday afternoon at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
