John Brady

John David Brady, age 83, of Burlington, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his home after several months of failing health.

Born in Bennett, NC, he is the son of the late William David Brady and the late Lela Branson Brady and was married for over 50 years to the late Marjorie Anne Spence Brady, who passed in 2016.  He retired from Beneficial Finance after many years as a financial manager and was a longtime member of Grove Park Baptist Church.  He was a member of Masonic Bula Lodge #409.  John loved baseball and played with the Milwaukee Braves Minor League team and later coached Little League for many years.  He was an avid golfer and was a kind and giving person.

Mr. Brady is survived by his three children, Kim Brady Bandy and husband, Barry of Burlington, Karen Brady Perry and husband, Tim, of Elon and Scott David Brady and wife, Debbie, of Elon; five grandchildren, Chip (Tracy) Euliss, Jim Euliss, Stuart (Megan) Euliss, Spence Perry and Davis Brady; a great grandson, Cooper Euliss and another one on the way; and a sister, Viola Saunders of Ramseur.  He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and several siblings.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2020 at Grove Park Baptist Church by Rev. Marc Sanders and Rev. Rodger Roach.  Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the residence.
