John Bailey

John Andrew Bailey, 67, of 4095 Roberta Rd. passed away Saturday June 12, 2010 at the Rowan Regional Medical Center following several years of failing health.. He was the husband of Saundra "Sandy" Cochran Bailey and was born August 8, 1942 in Rockingham County to the late James Andrew Bailey and Catherine Ragle Bailey Aldridge. He was a truck driver and served in the US Army. John was also a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and the D.A.V. Survivors include his wife of the home, a daughter Catherine Eddy Duncan of Concord, a son James "Jimmy" Teresa Bailey of Burlington, sisters; Carolyn Faye Joe Boggs of Mebane, Thelma Vickie Horner of Burlington, a brother Carl Edward Diane Aldridge of Elon, half-sisters; Irene Eddie Hudson of Greensboro, Estelle Adkins of Greensboro, eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dennis Lee Hall and a half sister Lois Brewer. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Thursday at Concord Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 -1:30 Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home prior to going to the cemetery.
