Jo Ann Sichi

Mebane-Jo Ann Shotzberger Sichi, 70, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Hawfields Presbyterian Home. She was born in Richmond, Virginia to the late Dr. Martin Luther Shotzberger and Edith Cosby Shotzberger. She is survived by her husband of forty years, Carl Anthony Sichi.

Jo Ann was a flight attendant for thirty-three years with United Airlines where she served as head of United Airlines Speakers Bureau. She attended Catawba College. Jo Ann was a member of Bon Air United Methodist Church in Richmond, Virginia. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends at the VFW and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephew.  After retirement, she spent many fulfilling years caring for her parents. She was known for being a generous soul.

Survivors include her husband, Carl Anthony Sichi; step-sons, Rob and David and their wives; step-daughter, Amie and her husband; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sister, Beverly Shotzberger- Harmon and her husband; nieces, Cosby and Elisabeth and a nephew, Holt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Marty Shotzberger and Gary Shotzberger and a niece, Chrissie.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice and the Presbyterian Home of Hawfields for their kind and compassionate care.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 10:00AM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel  and memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
