Joan Sexton

Burlington- Joan "Jo' hart Sexton, 88, of 3900 Calvin Court, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Twin Lake Health Care Center. Joan was born in Corbin, Kentucky and was raised in the Junior Order United American Children's Home in Tiffin, Ohio and Lexington, NC.
She was precede din death by her husband, Joe G. Sexton and her parents, Charles and Lou Emma McCreary Hart and two brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her sister, Marie Hart Murphy of Cincinnati, Ohio; nephews, Robert (Sharon) Murphy of Moore Hill, Indiana, Patrick Murphy of Cincinnati, Ohio, Bruce Taylor (Mary) of Arcanum, Ohio, Emerson Lingo of Marion, Ohio and nieces, Marie Murphy Leon of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kimberly Ann Taylor of Union, Ohio and Tina Marie Taylor of Blue Ash, Ohio. And two step-grandchildren, Hannah Sexton and Trent (Hannah) and Luke Huffines; great nephews, Shaun and Kelly Murphy of Moore Hill, Indiana, Jason and Michael Lingo of Marion, Ohio; great nieces, Amber McMurchy, Ginger Gauvey, Chloe Bradley, Megan Bailey; great great nephew, Keith Iker and great, great nieces, Ivey Gauvey.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Holly Hill Baptist Church by Dr. Gene Hunsinger.
