Jo Dickerson

Jo Mabry Dickerson, 54, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, November 29, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was a native of Alamance County and was employed by Glen Raven Mills for over twenty-five years. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Survivors include her daughter Jessica Alcon and her husband David of Elon, grandchildren; Ethan Alcon and Payton Alcon, sisters; Debbie Campbell and her husband Sam, Vanessa Allison and her husband Lawrence, five nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother Cloria "Blondie" Keck. It was Jo's request not to have a funeral but a time of celebration of her home going. The family will receive friends and family 6-8 PM Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the home of her daughter, 3553 Altamahaw Race Track Rd., Elon. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Jo Dickerson's funeral fund in care of her daughter Jessica Alcon, 3553 Altamahaw Race Track Rd., Elon, NC 27244.
