Jo Ann Wrenn Isley

Jo Ann Wrenn Isley, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 2, 1947 in Alamance County to the late Clem Montgomery Wrenn and Louise Elizabeth Young Wrenn. Jo Ann was the wife of 58 years to James “Jim” Lewis Isley of the home.

 Jo Ann retired after twenty plus years as the office manager with Burlington Orthopedics and Hand Surgery. She was a member of New Covenant Fellowship Church and enjoyed crocheting, all types of computer games, traveling, camping at Pirate Land in Myrtle Beach and Surf City Family Campgrounds, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Jo Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be dearly missed.

 Survivors other than her husband, James “Jim” Isley, include her son, Lee Isley and wife Lisa; a daughter, Jamie Isley Allred and husband Tony; grandchildren that she adored, Elizabeth Allred, Emma Isley Byrd and husband Cedric, Anna B. Allred and Zeb Allred; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Martha “Jean” Wrenn Robinson, and several brothers and sisters-in-law.

 The family would like to express their appreciation for all the hospice nurses and staff for their loving care and compassion that was shown to Jo Ann during her illness and for their support for their family.

 The graveside service to celebrate the life of Jo Ann will be held at 2:00pm Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Friendship Church Cemetery by Pastor Brian Dehart and Pastor David Neff. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12 noon to 1:30pm Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the residence.
