JJ French, Jr.

Jimmy Ray “JJ” French, Jr., 24, passed away on August 3, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family.  He was born in Alamance County on December 12, 1997 to Jimmy Ray French, Sr. and Rhonna Lynn MacFarlane Cook.

JJ was funny, outgoing and loved everyone he met.  He enjoyed watching cop shows and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his father, Jimmy Ray French, Sr and girlfriend, Denise.; mother, Rhonna Cook and husband David; brothers, Travis Duggins and wife Danielle; sister, Amber Barber and husband Joe and Madison Cook; nieces, Amelia Barber and Cheyenne Camacho. 

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nick MacFarlane and Betty MacFarlane; paternal grandparents, William Ray French and Judy French and cousins, Dakota French, Macy Pettigrew, Ashley French and Brandon Whitfield.

A service to celebrate JJ’s life will be held 2:00pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. JD Weed with the burial to follow at Gibsonville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home.
