Jimmy Howerton

Jimmie Dale Howerton, age 59, of 511 Sellars St., went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 23, 2010 at Kindred Hospital after several months of failing health. Born in Guilford County, he was the son of William Howerton and Frances Stallings Howerton, who both survive. He graduated from Gibsonville High School in 1966 and was employed in the flooring industry for many years. Mr. Howerton is survived by two daughters, April Howerton Doby and her husband, Keith, of Burlington and Wendy Gail Howerton of McLeansville; four grandchildren, Jessica Yvonne Doby, Adrain Wayne Doby, Christopher Steven Carter and Justin Aubrey Carter; his parents of Gibsonville; two brothers, Ronald Howerton and his wife, Georgette, of Georgia and Bill K. Howerton and his wife, Wadeene, of Gibsonvillle; and a brother-in-law, James Dunn. He was preceded in death by a sister, Barbara Dunn and an infant brother.
