Jimmie Lee "Brother Jim" Barbee, age 75 of 700 Brown Road went home to be with the Lord Monday October 5, 2009 at his residence. He was a native of Alamance County, the son of the late Troy Lee Barbee and Mable Montgomery Barbee and the husband of Carrie Rice Barbee who survives. He was a retired employee of the Burlington Industries Pioneer Plant and a member of the Pleasant View Assembly Of God and was a Christian. Surviving are his wife Carrie Rice Barbee of the home, Daughter, Jana Rene Paul Bova of High Point, NC, Son, Jeffrrie Keith Patty Barbee of Burlington, NC, 8 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren, Brothers: Ronald Wayne Nellie Barbee of Burlington, NC, Delbert Craig Tena Barbee of Haw River, NC, Timothy Glen Pam Barbee of Graham, NC and Rodney Bryan Barbee of Greensboro, NC The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gary Loftis and Jeff Barbee. Burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
