Jessie Arnold Triplet, a quiet and gentle man, passed away on January 10, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on November 29, 1935, in Grayson County, Virginia, Arnold was known for his selfless nature, always helping people around him quietly and without fanfare.
He shared a deep and abiding love with his wife, Wilma Upchurch Triplet, with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to true partnership and devotion. Arnold is survived by his daughter, Debra Kilmer, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Elmer Upchurch; sisters-in-law, Alma Haynes and Elizabeth Williams; his special friend, Brad Hawks; and great nephews, Ben Coyne and Will Coyne. He is preceded in death by his daughters, Misti Dawn Triplet, Julie Triplet, and Patty Price; as well as his brothers, Billy Triplet and Viles James Triplet, Jr.
Arnold was a member at Glen Raven Baptist Church, as well as Hillcrest Baptist Church in Virginia. One of his proudest accomplishments was his dedicated maintenance work for his church, where his talents shone brightly as he could fix anything that needed attention. His ability to help others, combined with his gentle spirit, left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11 AM at Moody Funeral Service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Edwards-Upchurch Cemetery.
