Jessie Roberts

Jessie Drummond Roberts, 75, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2011. She was born in Dolphin, VA to the late Clarence Allen and Gladys Spiers Drummond and was married to the late Carlton Collie Roberts. Jessie was the owner/operator of C.C. Roberts and Sons and was a member of First Baptist Church of Elon. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She is survived by her children, Carla Larry Brandenburg of Greensboro, Chris Linda Roberts of Burlington, Cam Marie Roberts of Elon, Casey Roberts of Elon, Candy Roberts and Don Petty of Burlington; grandchildren, Bonnie Steven, Jr. Martin, Daniel Roberts, Courtney Brandenburg, Kyle Brandenburg, Kelly Roberts, Corey Brandenburg, John Roberts, Kip Brandenburg and Brian Roberts; great granddaughter, Skylar Martin; sister, Marjorie Flinchum of Severna Park, MD; brothers, Francis Drummond of Emporia, VA, Albertis Drummond of Lawrenceville, VA and Leroy Drummond of Henrico, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and two sisters. The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Mofield with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Elon, P.O. Box 163, Elon, NC 27244 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
