Jerry Sharpe, Sr.

Burlington Jerry Ronald Sharpe, Sr., 77, passed away Sunday, March 09, 2014 at the Hospice Home after 5 weeks of failing health and 1 week critical. He was born in Guilford County to the late Kermit Lewis Sharpe and the late Idell Chester Sharpe and was married to Donna Kimrey Sharpe who survives. Jerry was the owner and operator of Tar Heel Heating and Air Conditioning, and was a US Army Veteran. Survivors other than his wife of the home include his daughters and sons-in-law, Jo and Phil McAdams, Julie and Mike Collins all of Greensboro; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Karen Sharpe of Burlington; grandchildren, Chad and Melanie MacKenzie, Jennabeth MacKenzie, Meredith McAdams, Michael McAdams, Mallory Sharpe and Grant Sharpe; brothers, Kenneth Sharpe of Alamance and Roger Sharpe of Burlington; sisters, Priscilla Donals of Godfrey, IL and Nina Nesbett of Crown Point, IN; and a trusted friend and caregiver, Al Pichard. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Sharpe. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the residence. There will be private memorial service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215. Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the Sharpe family.
