Jerry Flowers

      Mr. Jerry Flowers, age 86, of Burlington, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several months of failing health.

     Born in Hickory, NC, he was the son of the late Frank Ambrose Flowers and the late Ruby Irene Abernathy Flowers and was married for 24 years to Mrs. Crystal Lynn Ledbetter Flowers, who survives.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from AT&T after 35 years of service.  He later was employed with Triangle Grading before moving to Dick Shirley, and later Modern Chevrolet.  Jerry was an avid gun collector but loved to restore classic cars and owned several over the years.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family.   

     Mr. Flowers is survived by his wife of the home; three children, Jerry Flowers, Jr. (Wendy), Kristina McDermott (Jamie) and Sara Lynne Flowers; four grandchildren, James McDermott, Cole Flowers, Casey May (Jenny) and Justin Flowers (Sarah); three great grandchildren, Scarlett Magnolia May, Ryder Flowers and Hayden Flowers; and a sister-in-law, Bobbie Flowers.   He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Alan Flowers.

     A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
