Jerry Lee Bumgarner

     Jerry retired from CKS after 40 years as a truck driver. He was inducted into the Million Mile Club for CKS for a perfect driving record. He was a member of the former Altamahaw Pentecostal Holiness Church. Jerry was a practical joker focusing on Halloween each year by decorating his yard with elaborate displays. People came from near and far to view his set-ups and receive a fright. He also enjoyed decorating for other holidays, Jerry enjoyed panning for gold, fishing and was a handyman for his family and friends. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, son and brother.

     Survivors include his wife, Vivian S. Bumgarner of the home; niece, Tracy (Mark) Beaddles of Sneads Ferry, nephew, Dennis (Kim) Apple of Mebane and cousins, Carolyn (Lemuel) McKinney, Linda Rabon and Gary Sprague both of Burlington.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rebecca Elaine Apple and brother, Robert James Bumgarner and his fur babies, “Buster” and “Barney”.

     The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Authoracare Collective for their kind and compassionate care of Jerry.

     A Celebration of Life service will be held at 4:00pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Johnson. The family will receive friends from 2:45-3:45pm on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the home.
