Jerome Naylor, Sr.

Jerome Newton Naylor, Sr., 83, of 2288 May Dr., died Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center after three years of failing health. A native of East Salem, PA, he was the son of the late Newton Naylor and the late Elizabeth Bates Naylor and was married for over 63 years to Mrs. Katherine Doss Naylor, who survives. Mr. Naylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in the European Theatre during WWII. He retired from the Burlington Post Office after 30 years service and later retired from Holly Hill Florist after 15 years of service. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Naylor is survived by his wife of the home; two sons, Jerome N. Naylor, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Graham and Dr. David Naylor and his wife, Pam, of Haw River; seven grandchildren, Jeanette Rick Jackson, Holly Eric Sturges, Larissa Thomas Davis, Sharon Jeff Brenner, Jerome Jerry Naylor III and special friend, Sara Hunt, Kaitlyn Naylor ,and Kyle Naylor; and nine great grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 Friday, January 19, 2007 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Jon Helton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 Friday, prior to the service, at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
