Jeffrey Summers

Haw River Jeffrey William Summers, 46, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Hospice Home in Burlington. He was born in Alamance County on March 15, 1969 to the late Joseph William Summers, Jr. and Betty Drake Summers Allred. Jeff enjoyed spending time with his friends and staff at Ralph Scott Group Home . He was always ready to make someone laugh or give a hug or a peck on the cheek. He was busy with many activities including bowling, dancing, bingo and eating out. Jeff loved being with his niece Kristi and nephew Chad at the movies or just having fun. Vacationing at the beach during motorcycle week was one of his most favorite times. He especially enjoyed watching all of the Harley Davidson's. We will miss his teasing and his sense of humor. We know Jeff is resting in peace with his mother and sister. He is survived by his sister, Kay S. Morris and husband Leland of Burlington; a niece, Kristin L. Kristi Phillips; a nephew, Chad J. Garner; his aunt and uncle, Pat and David Helms of Gibsonville; numerous cousins and many friends. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 4:00pm on Monday, January 18, 2015 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey. A visitation with reception provided by the family will follow the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ralph Scott Lifeservices, Inc. at 408 W Trade St, Burlington, NC 27217.
