Jeffrey Wayne Hewitt

     Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Hewitt, age 56, of Elon, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at his residence after a sudden illness.

     Born in Alamance County he was the son of Jason Garland Hewitt, Jr. and Laura Gaynell Ward Harville, who both survive, and was married for 14 years to Mrs. Robbin Williams Hewitt, who passed away in 2004.   He was a self-employed auto mechanic and painter and loved tinkering with cars.  Jeffrey enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing and listening to bluegrass and classic rock music and visiting the lake where he enjoyed fishing and boating.

     Mr. Hewitt is survived by his daughter, Kristin Myers; two grandchildren, Aayden Leigh and Stephen Myers; his mother and father; and two sisters, Dana Hewitt (Bradley Barber) and Barbara Leigh (Allen).  He was preceded in death by his wife; grandparents, Daisy and Jason Hewitt and Dave and Dot Ward; and an uncle, Roger Hewitt.

      A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, March 29, 2024 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Ken Goins.
