Jeanette Harris

BURLINGTON- Virginia Jeanette Wilson Harris, 68, of 1528 S. Mebane St., Apt. 1405 N., died December 21, 2007 at the Hospice Home after several months of failing health. A native of Durham County, she was the daughter of the late Coleman Hunter Wilson, Sr. and the late Violet Christine Fuqua Wilson and was married to the late James Calvin Aldridge. She was retired from the Caswell Parrish and was a member of Bethel Christian Church. Mrs. Harris is survived by a daughter, Cindy White and her husband, Don, of Illinois; a son, Kyle Harris and his wife, Hanna, of California; two grandchildren, Alex White and Kyle White; a sister, Donnie Scott and her husband, James, of Elon; a brother, C.H. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Burlington; three nieces and one nephew; and her faithful companions, her cats, Sam and Mr. Lilly. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; an infant brother; and her cat, Missy. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Bethel Christian Church by the Rev. Barry Lane and Chaplin Mike Shannon. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
