Jeanette Cooper Ezzell, 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Moses Cone surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Luther Garland Cooper and Bronna Mae Coe Cooper Tew. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Thomas Tinsley Ezzell.
Jeanette was a longtime member of Riverdale Baptist Church where she served for many years as organist and pianist. She enjoyed gospel music and taught piano lessons for several years. Jeanette enjoyed family beach trips, cooking and sewing for her family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Thomas Tinsley Ezzell and her daughter, Debbie E. Saunders and her husband, Dean of Mebane; grandchildren, Christie Sneed and husband, Carson and Steven Saunders; step grandchild, Ricky Saunders; great grandchildren, Braxton Saunders, Bailey Saunders, Rylee Sneed and Rhett Sneed; step great grandchildren, Jordan Harless, Blake Saunders and Ashlynn Saunders. She was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Ed Woodrow Tew and a sister, Linda Fay Terrell.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Johnathan Graves. A graveside service will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, March 25, 2024 Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45PM prior to the service on Sunday.
