Jean Wilson

Burlington-Jean Clayton Wilson, 85, went home to be the Lord on Friday, June 14, 2019. She was a native of Caswell County and the wife of 67 years to William Edward  “Bill” Wilson who survives.

Jean was a homemaker and attended Staley Memorial Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading and fishing. Jean was an outstanding cook and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of the home; William E. "Bill" Wilson; daughters, Betty Kimrey and husband, Randall of Burlington and Donna Saul and husband, Kenny of Burlington; sons, Woodrow Wilson and wife, Inge of Lawton, Oklahoma and Danny Wilson and wife, Edith of Burlington; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister, Louise Allen of Durham and a brother, Mike Clayton and wife, Pat of Prospect Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Victor and Ethel Ruth Brooks Clayton; brother, Neal Clayton and a sister, Ailene Smith.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at 2:00PM at Staley Memorial Baptist Church. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45-1:45 pm Sunday prior to the service at the church.
