Jean Bryant

Burlington, NC Mrs. Jean Melton Bryant, 80, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Liberty Commons. Mrs. Bryant was born May 1, 1927 in Welch, West Virginia to the late Fred Melton and Faye Melton Richardson. She was the widow of Claude Edward Bryant, Jr. who preceded her. She retired from Carolina Biological Supply and was a member of Altamahaw Baptist Church where she was a former choir member. Survivors include two sons, Frank Edward Bryant and his wife Cynthia of Stoney Creek and John Harvie Bryant of Elon. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tommy Richardson. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
