Jayne Rae Drake Wyrick
Jayne Rae Drake Wyrick, 61, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. A native of Jacksonville, NC she was the daughter of the late Raymond Drake and Charlotte Drake, who survives and was married for over 43 years to the love of her life Jeff Wyrick.
Jayne spent her life serving others. She was the ultimate caregiver to her family and friends that were like family and the “Hot Mama” to all her dance girls. She planned and organized all the family holidays and special occasions, where she shared her talent for cooking. Her selfless actions showed the kind of love she had for the family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Wyrick; daughter and son-in-law, Kalyn and Aaron Cobb; the lights of her life, her grandchildren, Riley and Levi Cobb; brother, Raymond “Dee” Drake III; mother, Charlotte Drake; step-mom, Nancy Drake and mother-in-law, Jean Meeks. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Drake.
A funeral service to will be held 11:00am on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Mark Cobb with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 6:00pm Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the funeral home.
