Jared Franks

Elon - Jared William Franks, 24, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Jared was born on June 19, 1994 in Alamance County to Jonathan and Karyn Franks.

Jared was a patrol officer with the Greensboro Police Department and died in the line of duty.

Survivors other than his parents, Jonathan and Karyn Franks; include a sister, Abigail Franks; his girlfriend, Alexandra Nickerson; maternal grandparents, Richard and Margaret Sculthorpe; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also loved by his church family, Law Enforcement family and his Fraternity Brothers. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jack and Doris Franks. He was a fiercely loyal friend to so many. He will be deeply missed.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, November 17, 2018 at The Lamb's Chapel - Airport Campus by Pastor Bruce Readling and Pastor Randy Kidd. The burial will follow in Berea Christian Church Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 7:00pm Friday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.
