Janice Porter

Graham - Janice Johnson Porter, 66, of 5624 NC 87 South passed away Saturday September 8, 2007 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Vernon Lee Porter and the daughter of the late Robert Leman and Bessie Evans Johnson. Janice was a native of Guilford County, part owner of an appliance business and of the baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her daughters; Linda Kinney and her husband Mark of Burlington, Diane Moore and her husband Gary of Mebane, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; sisters; Ruth Fogleman of Whitsett, Mary Garner of Gibsonville, Darlene Johnson of Snow Camp, brothers; Harold Johnson and Donald Johnson both of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughters; Terry Rumley Hawker, Donna Rumley Hamdan and a sister Peggy Hill. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Stacey Hall and the Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her brother, Donald Johnson, 404 Glenwood Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
