Janice Langley Frizzelle, 83, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Wilkes County to the late James Reuben Johnson and Elora St. John Langley and was married to the late Paul Frizzelle. Mrs. Frizzelle retired from Lemco after 17 years and also owned and operated her own florist, J&J Flowers and Crafts, for several years. She was a very active member of the Salvation Army Church serving in several different roles including almost sixty years as a nursery Sunday school teacher. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and was known as a truly giving person.
She is survived by her daughters, Debra Lynn Penley (Mike), Barbara Millikan and Laura Dabbs; stepson, Gene Frizzelle (Evelyn); eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a sister, Carol McGhee (Howard). She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, Reuben Odell Fayne, stepfather, Perry Langley and a brother, Paul M. Langley.
The funeral will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Salvation Army Church, 812 Anthony St., by Lt. Mike McGee and Maj. Terry Edwards with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home of her daughter, Debra, 2714 Blanche Drive, Burlington.
