Janice Carroll

Graham, NC Janice Thompson Carroll, age 77, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2009 at the Hospice Home. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Albert Lee and Amelia Sweet Thompson. Janice retired from Alphabet Inc. and later worked for BBQ and Ribs in Graham where she had recently retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River and the Prayer Warriors Sunday School Class. Janice loved animals especially her cat, "Jewel" and was a member of the Humane Society of Alamance County. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and playing bingo. Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Anderson Petrilla of Graham; son, John Richard Anderson, Jr. and his wife, Margaret Thompson Anderson of Raleigh; grandchildren, Matthew Graham Anderson of Coutenneau Benin, West Africa and Megan Ashley Anderson of Winston-Salem, N C; sisters, Marjorie Childress of Burlington, Dorothy Graves of Graham and Leatrice Cox of Hickory; brother, Albert "Rusty" Thompson, Jr. of Haw River. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Bobbie Nall and Marion Crawley; brother, Frank Thompson. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Walter Jones. There will not be a visitation.
