Jane Worrell

Ida Jane Tickell Worrell, 73, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Hospice Home surrounded by her family. She was born in Guilford County on August 14, 1944 to the late Boyd Staley and Rachel Estelle Walker Tickell and was the wife of the late James "Jim" Darrell Worrell.
Jane was a lifetime member of Shallow Ford Christian Church where she played the piano and organ for over fifty years, served as the church secretary for over thirty-five years. She was very involved with the Meals on Wheels program and the Girl Scouts. She loved and taught music but her heart was with the Celebration Singers. She was a wonderful wife, mother and Memaw who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her son, Chris Worrell and wife Crystal; daughter, Renee Worrell; grandchildren, Jeanni Miles and husband Trent, Zya Barnes and C.J. Barnes. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and granddaughter, Kayla S. Ivey.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00pm on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Shallow Ford Christian Church by Rev. Steve Regan. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
